The rumours about Johnson’s behaviour were first reported in The Wrap earlier this year, who claimed that he also arrived to set late frequently – sometimes up to eight hours late.Addressing the rumours about being late, Johnson added: “Yeah, that happens…But not that amount, by the way.
That was a bananas amount. That’s crazy. Ridiculous.”Speaking about peeing in a bottle, he added: “Yeah. That happens…I’ve said a thousand times: ‘Hey, I’m here.
Come and ask me. And I’ll tell you the truth.’”Johnson went on to say that the overall controversy the report in The Wrap caused was “bullshit.”Earlier this year, Johnson signalled his intention to work on more dramatic films, in a move away from the action blockbusters that made him famous.The Hollywood star and former professional wrestler was announced as the lead in the upcoming biopic The Smashing Machine earlier this year, which will tell the story of the MMA fighter and UFC Heavyweight Champion Mark Kerr.The film, an A24 production, is set to be written and directed by Benny Safdie, one half of the Safdie Brothers, who made films including Uncut Gems and Good Time.Speaking to Variety about the film and his move to more serious acting, Johnson said: “I’m at a point in my career where I want to push myself in ways that I’ve not pushed myself in the past.
