Amanda Louise Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English media personality, actress, television presenter, singer, and author. She has judged on the television talent show competition Britain's Got Talent since the show began its run in 2007 on ITV. As an actress, Holden played the role of Mel in Kiss Me Kate (1998–2000), Geraldine Titley in The Grimleys (1999-2001), Sarah Trevanion in Wild at Heart (2006–2008), Lizzie, the Ring Mistress, in Big Top (2009), and the title role in Thoroughly Modern Millie, for which she was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award.

An Ayrshire businessman is flying 'Tenerife's best soul act' to the region to perform three charity night gigs in aid of the Ukraine crisis.

Davie McIlroy, owner of The Three Craws and Getfed in Irvine — and the soon to be opened Bakers Tempura in Kilmarnock — is thrilled to be bringing The Soul Brothers to Ayrshire.The businessman was so impressed with the trio's act while holidaying in Tenerife in January he paid to bring the crooners over to Scotland.But when Russia invaded Ukraine the following month, Davie decided to turn the gigs into charity nights to aid those displaced families settling in ScotlandDavie said: "I'm so excited to have the boys come over to Scotland and give us all a good night."I was in Tenerife in January and I was absolutely blown away by them — I don't think they took me seriously at first when I asked them to play in Scotland."This will be their first-ever Scottish gig."The Soul Brothers appeared on Voice Senior — a dutch version of The Voice UK meant for senior acts — in 2021 and all four judges; Angela Groothuizen, Frans Bauer, Ilse de Lange, and Gerard Joling turned for the harmonisers."I wanted to help the people coming over to Scotland from Ukraine and £5 from all the ticket sales will go directly to helping the Ukrainians settling here," said Davie."We'll be putting on a raffle and I'm really thankful for all of the donations so far, if anyone wants to donate any raffle prizes, please hand them in to the Three Craws or give them a call and we'll pick it up; nothing is a hassle."We'll also have a money bucket with all of the proceeds from that and the raffle going to Ukrainian refugees."Davie is set to open a Tempura bar in Kilmarnock's Fowlds street on Monday, April 4, with The Soul
