'Dune 3' Update: Filming Window Revealed!
justjared.comDenis Villeneuve is preparing to film the third Dune movie! The filmmaker plans to film the third installment in the movie series that stars Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya later this summer, via Deadline.
The team is in pre-production, and is preparing for a summer start, according to the report. Keep reading to find out more… “June is too early but summer is the aim, providing key elements fall into place (talent avails, etc), according to multiple well-placed sources,” Deadline notes.
Dune: Part Two brought in over $700 million at the global box office after release last year. Both Dune and Dune: Part Two also earned Best Picture Oscar nominations.
The third movie will complete the trilogy, adapting Frank Herbert’s sequel novel, Dune Messiah. In the novel, Paul “Muad’Dib” Atreides has ruled as Emperor for 12 years.
