Dundee’s twice-postponed clash with Rangers will be played at St Johnstone’s McDiarmid Park if Dens Park fails a pitch inspection on Tuesday morning, according to a report.
The match has been controversially called off on two occasions due to a waterlogged pitch and that has led to huge criticism of the Dark Blues who have seen FIVE games postponed this season and sees the club facing SPFL disciplinary action.
And now The Courier say that the fixture which has been rearranged for Wednesday will be moved to the home of Dundee’s Tayside rivals if they can’t get it on.
They say McDiarmid Park has emerged as the 'back-up venue' and that there will be a 'mid-morning inspection' on Tuesday. The report adds that Dundee chiefs have held talks with St Johnstone counterparts and that that they have reached an agreement for the game to be staged at McDiarmid Park.
