Dundee University launches scheme to attract girls into male dominated subjects

dailyrecord.co.ukLocal primary schoolgirls have got stuck in to some interesting new lessons at Dundee University. They were there as part of an initiative to get more girls involved in male-dominated subjects.
It is generally accepted there are not enough women in STEM - science, technology, engineering, and mathematics - fields, making up a small percentage of the overall UK STEM workforce.
But now Dundee Uni - working with local charity Empowerment Academy - are looking to change this narrative.Staff in the School of Science and Engineering invited the group of pupils from Victoria Park Primary School on-campus for four consecutive Mondays, meeting female role models in the engineering industry and completing fun activities in each slot.During the
