Dundee United fire Celtic ticket accusation and claim Scottish Cup rivals REFUSED to accept lower prices

Dundee United have accused Celtic of refusing to accept lower ticket prices for the clubs' upcoming Scottish Cup clash. The Premiership duo will meet at Tannadice for a quarter-final tussle on Monday, March 14.

Fans will pay £27 for a ticket to the match, less than the £30 price of a Premiership fixture, but United insist they wanted to drop that further.The Tayside club claim that despite "continued efforts", Celtic would not budge.

A United statement said: “Very early on in discussions between the clubs thereafter on ticket prices, Celtic advised us of the view that they were looking for a price point similar to an SPFL league match between the clubs (£30 adults).
