Staff and customers at a Dumfries supermarket are donating food for vulnerable families and the elderly.A collection area has been set up near the cafe at Morrisons.The store’s Myra Smith said: “People are being very generous and we are being donated tonnes of goods which we are quickly passing on to a variety of agencies.“As always the bulk goes to the foodbank at the First Base Agency on Buccleuch Street which makes up hundreds of food parcels.The Daily Record has launched our NHS Heroes campaign to thank the remarkable NHS staff who are on the front lines of this coronavirus emergency.
