Plans to close a bank in Dumbarton High Street have been shelved due to the Covid-19 outbreak.Clydesdale Bank was due to shut its doors in May but owners Virgin Money have announced it will not be going ahead with the measures “until further notice”.There was outrage after proposals to close 22 branches were revealed in February, with calls being made to reverse the decision.Lucy Dimes from Virgin Money UK this week said: “Our primary focus is on supporting our customers and protecting our colleagues during this challenging time.“As a result of the impact of coronavirus in the UK we have decided not to proceed with the integration changes we announced in February.”The announcement comes as it was revealed the number of bank branches in West
