Dulce Sloan is moving on from The Daily Show. The 41-year-old comedian has been a member of the late-night show’s cast for seven years.
However, on Friday (January 17) it was reported that she had exited the role. A source opened up about the terms of her departure, why she left and what is next for her. Keep reading to find out more… Deadline broke the news of Dulce‘s exit, writing that it was “an amicable parting of ways” that came at the end of her current contract.
The outlet reported that she will be moving to Los Angeles and shifting her professional focus to acting. The star currently voices the character Honeybee Shaw on the Fox sitcom The Great North. Dulce is also gearing up for a tour and has a comedy special in the works.
It’s not clear what network or platform the special is for. “There is work that I’ve done over the past seven years with The Daily Show that I couldn’t be prouder of,” she said in a statement shared with the outlet. “I collaborated with some incredibly talented people who I look forward to continuing to work with.
