Dua Lipa and Michael Cera to appear in upcoming Barbie movie
thefader.comDua Lipa has been announced as part of the extended cast of Barbie. The Greta Gerwig-directed movie is out on July 21 with Margot Robbie taking on the lead role and Ryan Gosling starring as Ken.
Today a number of additional cast members were confirmed with Dua Lipa set to play a mermaid. Check out her character poster, complete with a blue wig, below.
Other names confirmed for Barbie today include Issa Rae, Will Ferrell, Simu Liu, and Kate McKinnon. Helen Mirren will narrate the film while its London shooting location is reflected by roles for a number of U.K.-based actors, including Sex Education stars Ncuti Gatwa and Emma Mackey.
