A dad has been locked up for firearms offences after he was found drunk and covered in blood in the street drifting in and out of consciousness with a loaded gun in his sock.
Ambulance workers were about to take Kieran Kenny to hospital when they made the discovery. The 39-year-old was found on East Lane, Stainforth, in Doncaster on September 9 in 2022, South Yorkshire Police said.
He appeared to be intoxicated to the point that he had fallen over and injured his face and there were no signs of any altercation with others.
Firearms officers were immediately deployed after a paramedic felt a handgun and a separate magazine stuffed into a sock, the force said.
