Energy customers across the UK could save more than £100 on their heating bills by simply dropping their thermostat a negligible amount.
Information from Citizens Advice states that turning down thermostat by just 1C can save around 10 per cent on energy bills.
Similarly, a study from the University College of London, which examined thermostat readings from 13,000 homes across the country, found that keeping temperatures between 22C and 18C could save the average home roughly £130.
It further detailed that the average household used around £1.10 less in gas for every square meter that covered their household alongside 40p less electricity when dropping thermostat temps by 1C.
