Drivers urged to take diversions as two Lanarkshire roads set to close for several hours

Monklands motorists are advised to take alternative routes when two roads close for the best part of a day in September.The A89 Main Street in Plains will be closed from 10pm on September 13 until 6am the following morning for rail bridge inspections.This will apply between Learigg Road and Stepends Road and diversions for drivers will include the A73 Carlisle Road, Bellside Road, Harthill Road, Edinburgh Road, MacLean Terrace and Hirst Road.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
