dailyrecord.co.ukA female driver who ran down a nine-year-old girl with her car told the youngster 'she'll be alright' before driving away from the scene.
Officers arrived at Tile House lane in junction with The Causeway in Colchester shortly after 10am following the shocking incident on December 17, Essex Live reports.
Reports claim that the young girl was clipped by the small grey car which was being driven by a white female in her 40s. The woman stopped at the scene very briefly to reassure the child she'd be fine before driving off again.Police are appealing for any information or eye witnesses regarding the incident.
They are also requesting that anyone with any CCTV, dash cam or any other footage in relation to this incident come forward.
