Driver 'runs off' and leaves Range Rover abandoned after crashing it into barrier and two parked cars

Bolton Road, in the Edgworth and Turton area, heard an 'almighty crash' and emerged to see that a Range Rover had collided with a roadside barrier and two parked cars at around 10.47pm on Thursday evening.

Neighbours say they watched 'as the driver fled' the wreckage, leaving the car with its engine still running next to the Black Bull Pub.One resident of the area, who wished not to be named said crashes on the bend are becoming increasingly common.

The resident told the Manchester Evening News : "We heard an almighty crash. My mum and dad bore witness and saw the guy running from the vehicle. "It’s not uncommon on that corner anymore, it's becoming more frequent.
