Driver of overturned lorry in hospital after being rescued from Scots road crash

The driver of an overturned lorry has been rushed to hospital after being rescued from the crash on a Scots road. Earlier we told how officers raced to the single-vehicle crash on the A830 between Fort William and Mallaig after being alerted at around 1.35pm on Tuesday.

The road was quickly locked down with police and ambulance crews pictured at the scene.It's now been confirmed the 62-year-old male driver of the lorry was taken to Belford Hospital for treatment.

Details of his injuries are currently unknown, however he has now been released.Another picture taken from the scene earlier showed a long line of traffic building up after police closed the A830.
