A driver escaped serious injury after their van flipped onto its side during a crash. The drama happened in Sale Moor shortly after 2pm today (Friday).
Police and paramedics were called to Northended Road close to the junction with Lindow Street following reports of a crash. Officers discovered a white van on its side in the carriageway. Greater Manchester Police later confirmed. No arrests have been made. Residents reported 'gridlock' in the area while the emergency services dealt with the incident.
A spokesman for GMP said: "Officers responded to reports of an RTC on Northenden Road at around 2.05pm today. No arrests were made and a man suffered injuries not believed to be life-threatening or changing."
