You might not realise how calorie-dense certain drinks are, and that some simple swap outs can save you hundreds of calories depending on what you're drinking.With that in mind, Tom Bell, Drinks Expert from DrinkWell, has shared some easy swaps that you can make on a night out to cut down calories.So, for beer lovers Tom recommends ditching the pint for a low-carb bottle.
The expert says that you would be going from approximately 338 calories to less than 99 by making the switch.He says: "Some lagers can have up to 338 calories so check for a low calorie option such as a The Löwecal Lager which is just 88 calories."Meanwhile wine drinkers might want to opt for a sugar free option, as they could cut calories from 99 to 78 with the easy switch.
DrinkWell research also found that Rosé wine has on average around 91 - 92 calories per 125 ml, while White wine has 98 - 99 calories.Now onto the spirits, where there are savings of 130 calories to be had.
