For the English group, it's one of the perks of being a leader in the emergence of shoegaze and dream-pop — their history can be traced through the underground in some unexpected and very cool ways.
Now, with the sound they pioneered has a new generation in its grasp, Slowdive are back with a new album called everything is alive.
Out August 1 via Dead Oceans, Slowdive's fifth full-length arrives after 2017's self-titled, which was the band's first album in 22 years.
