Drake and Ye lead nominations for BET Hip Hop Awards 2022
thefader.comThe nominations for the 17th annual BET Hip Hop Awards are in, with Drake and Kanye West leading the pack at 14 and 10 a piece, respectively.
This year’s ceremony will be taped on Friday, September 30 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center in Atlanta with Fat Joe hosting and premiere on television at 9 p.m.
EDT the following Tuesday (October 4). Other artists nominated for multiple awards include Young Thug, Doja Cat, Latto, Lil Durk, and Tems, with three taps each.
Back in December, Drake and Ye ended a long-running beef — which came to a head last fall as Ye’s Donda and Drake’s Certified Lover Boy competed for sales and chart position — with a joint Larry Hoover benefit concert, held at the Los Angeles Coliseum and live-streamed on Amazon.
