Hurricane Ian not only left a path of destruction in Florida, but also added homeless or lost pets to animal shelters that were already struggling with being overcapacity.  Manatee County Animal Welfare was one of many shelters across south Florida experiencing a surge in animals post-Ian, Fox 13 Tampa Bay reported. "We started to see almost double the animals coming into our facility on a daily basis," Sarah Brown, the division chief of Manatee County Animal Services, told the outlet.

Saturday Night Live has announced the hosts and musical guests for the first three episodes of season 48.

But first, as “SNL” Season 48 launches on Oct. 1, Miles Teller will make his debut as host for the first time. Brandon Gleeson has also been lined up for his first ever “SNL” hosting stint. NBC announced on Tuesday that “SNL” will return with three consecutive shows on Oct. 1, Oct. 8 and Oct. 15, featuring three first-time hosts. First up as host is Teller, who currently stars in the summer blockbuster “Saturday Night Live,” will open the “SNL” season with musical guest Kendrick Lamar. It’s Lamar’s third time as “SNL” music performer; the Grammy winner currently on tour promoting his new album “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.”

50 Cent is suing Angela Kogan, the CEO of Miami’s Perfection Plastic Surgery and Medical Spa, on the claim that she used an innocent 2020 photo of herself and the Queens emcee to imply he’d received a penile enhancement at her business. The allegations stem from a since-deleted interview with Kogan — published in August 2022 by The Shade Room with the headline “Penis Enhancements Are More Popular Than Ever & BBL’s Are Dying Out: Cosmetic Surgery CEO Angela Kogan Speaks On it (Exclusive)” — that listed 50 Cent among Kogan’s clients, along with FloRida, Odell Beckham Jr., and “more, that remain confidential.” The offending article also included the shot of 50 (whose legal name is Curtis James Jackson III) and Kogan arm in arm in its thumbnail image, juxtaposed with a photo of a patient in an open hospital gown with a large eggplant emoji covering his genitals.

On Thursday it was confirmed that Kanye West's working relationship with Gap had come to an end.
