Dr Hilary Jones calls for GMB viewers to take vitamin D following coronavirus review

Dr Hilary Jones has called for viewers to take vitamin D after a new review into the supplement was ordered by the government in the fight against coronavirus.

His suggestion comes after a study carried out by Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge found that there have been more covid-19 fatalities in European countries with lower vitamin D levels.

Speaking about the study on Good Morning Britain today, Dr Hilary told hosts Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard about how immune systems could be given a boost with sunlight.
