Dr Alex George shares heart-wrenching tribute to brother on World Suicide Prevention Day

Former Love Island star Dr Alex George made an emotional tribute to his brother Llŷr, who tragically died by suicide in July 2020, to mark World Suicide Prevention Day on Saturday.

The 31 year old turned to Instagram to make a plea to others struggling with mental health and shared a moving video featuring home footage of his brother and snippets of him speaking in his BBC documentary Dr Alex: Our Young Mental Health Crisis.

Alongside the clip he penned: "Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. I'm sat here watching this video, wondering how this ever could have come to pass.

Why are you gone? Will I ever see you again? Did I miss an opportunity to save you?" Alex penned underneath the video. "If you are amongst the darkness, please reach out for help.
