Sadly this disgusting sight now appears to be a feature at one of our region's most stunning landscapes - Dovestone nature reserve and reservoir walk at Greenfield in Saddleworth, according to Andrew Robinson, a journalist at our sister website Yorkshire Live.

I think of this area as a 'mini Lake District' because the soaring crags and open water are almost a match for the dramatic landscape of the Cumbrian fells.
