Double jabbed holidaymakers returning to England will soon be able to take cheaper and quicker lateral flow covid tests instead of using pricier PCR kits.
The change will come into force from October 24 in time for the half-term holidays for tourists returning from countries not on the red list.
Passengers will be required to take a test for day two arrival checks, take a photo of the result and send it in. It's expect to cut the cost of testing for a family of four by about £200.
