Donald Trump has received his sentence after being found guilty in his hush money case. The 78-year-old president elect appeared remotely in a New York court room on Friday (January 10) to find out his punishment after being found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records in May 2024.

His sentencing was previously delayed ahead of the 2024 presidential election, and Donald unsuccessfully attempted to have it delayed once again this week.

He issued a statement about the decision, maintaining his innocence and bashing the case. “It was done to damage my reputation so that I would lose the election, and obviously it didn’t work,” he said, adding, “I would just like to say that I was treated very, very unfairly.” Donald will assume the presidency after his inauguration on January 20.
