Former President of the United States Donald Trump was found liable in his battery and defamation trial involving E.

Jean Carroll. The 76-year-old former president was found liable by a jury of 56 men and 3 women on Tuesday (May 9) after deliberating for just three hours, via TMZ. Jean Carroll was awarded $5 million in damages as a result. If you didn’t know, she sued Trump for battery and defamation, claiming he raped her back in 1996 in a Manhattan department store dressing room.

She claimed she was attacked by Trump after they ran into each other at the store and shopped together. Trump has maintained her allegation was just a “hoax,” claiming he wouldn’t have raped her because she wasn’t his type.
