Taylor Swift

Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Don’t expect Donald Trump to catch the Eras Tour before it wraps up in December. The former president declared his hatred for Taylor Swift Sunday on his Truth Social platform after the 14x Grammy-winner previously announced her endorsement for his opponent Vice President Kamala Harris after their ABC debate last week. “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” wrote Trump in no uncertain terms.

Harris’ campaign spokesperson Sarafina Chitika responded to the outburst in a statement laden with lyrical references to Swift.

Swift previously shared her endorsement of Harris and running mate Tim Walz on Instagram, following the Democratic nominee’s debate with Trump on Tuesday. “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election,” she wrote. “I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them,” added Swift. “I think she is a steady-headed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.

Her post came after Trump attempted to “accept” an AI-generated endorsement appearing to be from Swift, which the Tortured Poets Department artist denounced as it made her realize the “need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter.
