A domestic abuser with a "terrible" record for violence has been locked up for 32 months.Airdrie Sheriff Court heard that Daniel Rafferty's victim told police officers she was too scared to report him after he attacked her in the street.The 31-year-old headbutted the woman during a row in Coatbridge.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

I don't want to say anything. I'm terrified."My jaw is sore but I don't want to tell you what happened."It's never worth it and it will only end up worse for me."Rafferty was charged anyway because the assault was witnessed by a member of staff at a petrol station and captured by CCTV.He admitted headbutting the woman and rendering her unconscious in Coatbank Street on July 20 last year.Sarah Healing, prosecuting, said it happened about 2.30am.She told the court: "The couple had an argument that was overheard by a member of staff at the petrol station."Rafferty ran towards his partner and headbutted her, knocking her to the ground and causing her to lose consciousness."Rafferty also admitted breaking into the woman's home in Coatbridge and assaulting her on October 27 while on bail for the first attack.On that occasion she was wakened by a noise at the front door about 5am.
