Dolly Parton has called for a U-turn on plans to erect a statue of her in her home state. The country music legend, 75, asked the Tennessee legislature to scrap a bill proposing that she's commemorated in a statue in Nashville - at least for now.
She explained that she doesn't feel now is the right time to be put on a pedestal, given everything that's going on in the world as the coronavirus pandemic continues to effect people around the globe.
