A dog found dumped in a Scots park suffering from a horrific lip wound has been put down after there was "no way to fix the amount of pain she was in".
The female Staffordshire bull terrier had a number of serious health complications including a hugely inflamed and ulcerated mass on her lip, described as being "extremely painful".
The dog also had overgrown nails and a number of other health conditions, causing her an "extensive amount of suffering".The Staffy was found in Ferguslie Park in Paisley on Saturday May 14.
Now the Scottish SPCA is appealing for information from anyone who might know how the poor dog came to be in this state. Scottish SPCA inspector, Isla Bell, said, “The dog is an older female, and is mostly dark brindle in colour.
