Following in the coveted footsteps of Billie Piper, Jenna Coleman and Catherine Tate to play Doctor Who's latest assistant, Millie Gibson certainly has a lot to live up to.
And while her acting ability has landed her the role alongside Ncuti Gatwa, it seems she has attracted attention for a completely different reason - the scar on her eyebrow. The 19 year old star, who had appeared in Coronation Street, playing the troubled Kelly Neelan in 2019, says she has a very simple explanation.
In a recent interview she said: "It’s a scar. I fell down the stairs as a baby and the hair’s just never grown back, but everyone thinks I’ve done it myself." She further told The Sun: "In all my baby pictures I look like a right thug." Before joining the popular sci-fi drama, Millie was a familiar face on the streets of Weatherfield playing Kelly in the ITV soap.
She's been involved in a couple of jaw-dropping plot twists, such as her character coping with her mum passing away from cancer, getting taken hostage and falsely accused of murder.
