WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD! DO NOT READ IF YOU WON’T WANT TO KNOW! Wanda Maximoff has taken a turn that many Marvel superheroes have not – and that’s turning to the dark side as she continues on her mission to find her sons in any alternate universe that they are still alive.
Screenwriter Michael Waldron spoke to Variety about Wanda’s actions in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and revealed why they’re warranted. Click inside to read more… In the flick, Marvel fans watch as Wanda goes on her mission to find her twin sons, and kills anyone in her way.
That includes the Illuminati, which is the team of superheroes from an alternate reality that includes Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart), Black Bolt (Anson Mount), and Reed Richards (John Krasinski).
While she does kill a lot, Michael is defending her actions. Michael says that there was “an earlier draft where she was more a member of the ensemble and turned bad by the end, and it always felt to me like it was just hedging.
