A distressed woman was forced into a car and driven away late last night in London, police say. Scotland Yard say it is unclear what happened to the woman, as officers urgently try to trace her whereabouts.
Metropolitan Police said officers are anxious to ensure she is safe after she was forced into a vehicle in Haringey, north London, then vanished into the night.
Police were called at 11.55pm on Monday to New River Avenue, N8, to reports that a woman may have been forced into a small dark-coloured car before being driven away, a statement from the Met said.
Officers attended but there was no trace of the car or the woman. Detectives would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident.
