Disney Making 'Tangled' Live-Action Movie with 'Greatest Showman' Director!
justjared.comTangled is the latest Disney movie to get the live-action treatment! It was just announced that The Greatest Showman director Michael Gracey will be helming the upcoming live-action adaptation of the beloved 2010 animated film. Mandy Moore voiced the role of Rapunzel in the animated movie, which grossed $592 million at the global box office and spawned the 2012 short film spin-off Tangled Ever After and the 2017 animated TV series Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure.
Tangled features original songs by Alan Menken and Glenn Slater, including the Oscar-nominated and Grammy-winning song “I See the Light,” as well as “When Will My Life Begin?” and “Mother Knows Best.” Deadline reports that Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, who wrote Thor: Love and Thunder for Disney and Do Revenge for Netflix, has written the script for the movie. Gracey previously directed the smash hit movie The Greatest Showman and his next film Better Man hits theaters on Christmas Day.
