Disney has given fans a first look at its new, live-action version of the classic 2002 Lilo and Stitch film. People seem divided by the concept, with some begging the film giant to 'please stop' with the remakes.
A preview of the fluffy, loveable alien character was unveiled to audiences at Disney's fan event, D3, on Friday. A short clip, which you can watch below, has since been shared on social media.
It shows CGI stitch bursting through a screen, which reveals: "Lilo and Stitch. Only in theatres summer 2025." Eight-year-old Maia Kealoha leads the cast in her break-out role as Lilo Pelekai.
The film will follow the original film, centred around a six-year-old girl and her older sister Nani. Residing in Hawaii, they adopt a blue extra-terrestrial creature called Stitch, who reigns havoc on their lives with his misadventures.
