Disney Cuts Trans Storyline From Upcoming Pixar Series 'Win or Lose,' Releases Statement Explaining Why

Disney has once again cut out a LGBTQ+ story from a project. The latest was to be included in the upcoming first-ever Pixar series Win Or Lose, which is now set to be released in February 2025.

According to THR, the series removed a trans story arc from a later episode, though the character will still be included. Keep reading to find out more… “When it comes to animated content for a younger audience, we recognize that many parents would prefer to discuss certain subjects with their children on their own terms and timeline,” a Disney spokesperson shared with THR.

While the character is still being included, lines of dialogue referencing their gender identity are being removed, a decision that was reportedly made months ago.

Win or Lose was supposed to debut earlier this month, but was pushed back to a February 19, 2025 release on Disney+. Check out a teaser trailer!
