Disgust after human faeces, needles and drugs discovered at Bolton park

Concerns have been raised over discarded medication, drugs and human faeces found at a Bolton park. The discovery was made in Leverhulme Park  by volunteers from Bolton North East Wildlife Trail on Friday (April 25)/ A spokesman for the group said needles for medication, painkillers and an assortment of drugs were among the items found near Hollycroft Avenue.

Councillor Sean Hornby, for the Little Lever and Darcy Lever wards, confirmed the council is aware of the problem and a cleanup operation will soon be underway.

He said: “We’re going to get someone out to look at it. Because of the lockdown, we can’t respond to things straight away as it stands. "It's in the system to be looked at, hopefully if it’s not already been looked at
