BTS member J-Hope is set to be the first member of the boyband to release new music, according to Big Hit Music.A day after the septet announced their temporary hiatus from group activities, a representative from Big Hit Music confirmed that the group will be releasing new solo material and collaborations during their break from group engagements.Of the members, J-Hope is slated to be the first to release new solo music, with a full-length solo album reportedly in the works, per Billboard. Further details on the rapper’s forthcoming release are expected to be released in the coming weeks.“[The hiatus] will be a time for each of the members to grow with their diverse activities, and we anticipate that this will foster BTS into a long-running team,” the representative told South Korean media outlets, as translated by Soompi.

Amyl & The Sniffers have announced a new run of North American tour dates, marking their second tour of the continent this year.The new dates will see the Australian band return to the United States in September and October. The tour will begin with an appearance at the first-ever Los Angeles edition of the  Primavera Sound festival, before taking the band on a run of 14 headlining shows across the country.It follows on from the band’s previous tour in April and May of 2022.

Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds have been announced as the final headliners of Portugal’s MEO KALORAMA Festival.The inaugural edition of the festival will take place from September 1-3 at Bela Vista Park in Lisbon.Joining The Chemical Brothers and Arctic Monkeys at the top of the bill will be Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, who will headline the final night of MEO KALORAMA Festival on September 3.Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds’ performance will come ahead of sets from Disclosure, Chet Faker, Ornatos Violeta, Meute, Peaches and Club Makumba on September 3.The likes of Kraftwerk, James Blake, Bonobo, Róisín Murphy, Years & Years and Blossoms will also perform at MEO KALORAMA Festival this year.

Liam Gallagher, Mark Ronson, members of Queen and more are all set to play at the tribute gig for the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins at London’s Wembley Stadium later this summer.Hawkins, the band’s drummer since 1997, died in Bogotá, Colombia on March 25. He was 50 years old.Last week, Foo Fighters announced that, together with the drummer’s family, the band will celebrate Hawkins’ memory and music at two special gigs in London and Los Angeles.

Harry Styles has delivered an intimate performance of his song ‘Boyfriends’ for Japanese YouTube series, The First Take.The performance depicts Styles delivering a stripped-back version of the ‘Harry’s House’ track against a clean white background, in line with the series’ typical style. The court heard how Wendy Mountford smashed a plate in chip shop owner Shirley Hollies's face and pelted her with mushy peas.Mountford denied using the plate as a weapon and claimed she had only been acting in self-defence. But the 55-year-old was convicted of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.She had called to order two meals from Shepherd Street Chippy in Biddulph, Staffordshire, on the evening of April 24, 2021.But when the food was delivered to her bungalow, she found that some items were missing.After Mountford called to complain, Mrs Hollies, who runs the chippy with her husband, decided to deliver the additional items herself.
