'Disgraceful' mum and daughter launch brutal attack on defenceless victim in street

A mum and daughter launched a 'disgraceful' attack on a woman on the street in front of 'frightened' neighbours. Sian and Morgan Ellis kicked and punched the victim as she lay helplessly on the ground, Stoke-on-Trent Live reports.

The pair verbally abused her in the 'disgraceful' street attack on Garsdale Crescent, in Blurton, Stoke-on-Trent. Another victim had already been kicked and stamped on by co-defendant Jake Causley after earlier being battered by an unnamed fourth attacker, a court heard.

All three defendants dodged jail for their roles in the incident in June 2022. Referring to the second attack, he added: "Sian Ellis approached her and verbally abused her.

Sian Ellis punched her and knocked her to the floor. Morgan Ellis then joined in, kicking and punching her to the head as she was on the floor as Sian Ellis remained in close proximity." The first victim suffered a cut head, bruising, grazing, and a broken thumb.
