Selome Hailu Discovery channel has renewed five of its freshman series for second seasons: “The Last Woodsmen,” “In the Eye of the Storm,” “Expedition Files,” “Hustlers Gamblers Crooks” and “Mud Madness.” “The Last Woodsmen” follows Jared Douglas, a veteran logger in the Pacific Northwest who does the dangerous work of harvesting the most massive and valuable timber on Earth using only old-school axes and chainsaws.
The series is produced by Warm Springs Productions in association with Jolt Life. “In the Eye of the Storm” examines what happens in the epicenter of recent natural disasters, focusing on regular people’s first-hand accounts and using footage from phones and security cameras.
The series is produced by Arrow Media. “Expedition Files” sees Josh Gates travel the world to seek new evidence regarding some of history’s unexplained mysteries.
The series is produced by Ping Pong Productions. “Hustlers Gamblers Crooks” is described as being “structured like a Hollywood thriller” while telling “true stories of high-stakes hustlers, gamblers and crooks told by those who lived them.” Ping Pong produces. “Mud Madness” follows the off-road subculture of extreme Big-Tire UTV mud racing, from the 10 best drivers in the country who compete for the Mud Cup to the rivalries and wild party scene of the mud racing circuit.
