As she stood on the podium to receive her silver medal, a smile beamed across the face of Zara Tindall. She had been part of Team GB's equestrian eventing team, which came second at the London 2012 Olympics - and became the first immediate member of the royal family to clinch an Olympic medal.
In a sweet moment, her mother Princess Anne presented her with her medal, while Zara's husband Mike and cousin Prince William along with the Duchess of Cambridge watched on from the stands in Greenwich Park.
But the Queen's granddaughter's journey to being on the podium at the Olympics had been a long one - and heartbreaking at times.
