A disabled passenger had to resort to calling police after a three-and-a-half-hour battle to leave Manchester Airport during the early hours.
Daryl Tavernor, 33, was stranded on the plane for two hours after the delayed flight from Rome to Manchester landed at 2.30am.
The digital marketer, who has spinal muscular atrophy and requires special assistance, said he was left stranded at border control for about another 90 minutes before calling police.
Daryl told the Manchester Evening News : "I felt like I was being held hostage so I had no other option but to call the police".
