Matthew Vaughn, director of Argylle, is clearing things up and shutting down conspiracy theories that claim Taylor Swift wrote the book on which the film is based.
Swifties are accustomed to the “Bejeweled” singer dropping Easter eggs about her upcoming projects, and many fans believed Swift was behind the Bryce Dallas Howard-starring film.

She didn’t write the book!’” He continued, “I was laughing because I was like, ‘It’s not true! She didn’t write the book!’ But my daughter was convinced of it.” Jason Fuchs is credited as the screenwriter, but questions have arisen about the source material.
