Diplo Admits to Being on LSD During CNN New Year’s Eve Show: ‘It’s Like a Light Trip’

The DJ and music producer shocked and delighted Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen on CNN’s New Year’s Eve special by revealing that he was tripping while he appeared virtually on the cable news network. “I’m so curious, what’s the most conventional place that you’ve done LSD?” Cohen asked the music star.
Diplo responded: “Right now.” Before adding: “I did some on the helicopter, on the way here…I’m not even lying.” The co-hosts burst out laughing as Diplo clarified that he was showing some restraint. “It’s like a light trip,” he noted.
It must have been a microdose, because Diplo was able to perform at three shows in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve. He also previously admitted to dosing while running in the L.A.
marathon as part of an unusual training regimen. “I did what any normal person would do and took LSD,” he wrote on Instagram.
