Dimitar Berbatov has admitted that he expected more of Gareth Bale following the Welsh forward's return to Tottenham. Bale completed a sensational season-loan loan from Real Madrid in the summer to re-join the club he made his name at from 2007-13.
But so far he has largely disappointed, and has mainly been limited to appearances off the bench. He did manage the full 90 minutes in the FA Cup fourth round win against Wycombe, however, and scored his side's equaliser in the 4-1 victory.
