It's fair to say that Gareth Bale's return to Tottenham has not gone at all according to plan so far. There was a huge amount of fanfare in the summer when it was announced the Welsh forward would be re-joining his former side on a season-long loan from Real Madrid.
Big things were expected of the 31-year-old, but he has come nowhere near to repeating the stunning performances he produced on a regular basis in his first spell in North London.
There are rumours of a fall-out between him and manager Jose Mourinho, and it is looking increasingly unlikely Bale will stay beyond the end of the current campaign.
