Dillian Whyte isn’t backing down as he bids for a world title showdown with Tyson Fury. Whyte is the mandatory challenger for Fury’s belt following the Gypsy King’s victory over Deontay Wilder at the weekend, which gave him his second win via knockout over the Bronze Bomber.
Providing he defeats Otto Wallin later this month, Whyte looks set to be Fury’s next bout, with ‘The Body Snatcher’ at the front of the queue of potential opponents.
Fury will be obligated to face the 33-year-old unless he can secure a unification fight with Oleksandr Usyk within 30 days, but with Anthony Joshua triggering the clause for a rematch with the Ukrainian, that looks to be off the table.
