Sean 'Diddy' Combs had ramped up security at his Los Angeles mansion for his 53rd birthday party Friday following a previous incident this past summer.Police sources told TMZ that metal detectors were used to screen guests for the star-studded bash.A nearby street was shut down and only approved guests were taken to the party via a shuttle bus, sources told the outlet.

He was seen in a new clip he uploaded to Instagram Tuesday The ramped-up security came after an incident this past June when a woman with a loaded firearm was arrested outside of the home at a BET Awards afterparty, after flashing the gun at others, the outlet previously reported.The party came in the wake of two tragic gun deaths in the hip-hop community, as Migos rapper Takeoff was fatally shot at 28 in Houston earlier this month, while PnB Rock was shot to death at 30 in September in Los Angeles.

A number of celebrities were in attendance at the birthday party, according to the outlet, as the guest list included Jay-Z, Mary J.
