Joe Otterson TV Reporter Dick Wolf is making his first foray into business with Netflix with a pair of true crime docuseries.
The creator of “Law & Order” and Wolf Entertainment have partnered with Alfred Street Industries on both “Homicide: New York” and “Homicide: Los Angeles.” Both shows will consist of five episodes each, with each episode documenting a different murder case in each city.
The official description states that the show “illuminates the stories of notorious murder cases as told by the people who know them best: the detectives and prosecutors who cracked them.” “Homicide: New York” will debut on March 20, while “Homicide: Los Angeles” will bow at later date this year.
Wolf executive produces along with Tom Thayer, Jane Lipsitz, Dan Cutforth, Nan Strait, Dan Volpe, and Adam Kassen. Wolf is one of the most successful television producers of all time, though he has made virtually no streaming shows to date.
